The educational meeting for the New England Chapter of SFPE hits the road for a morning tour of the UMass Amherst Central Heating Plant. There are many fire protection engineering challenges to this state of the art facility. The Central Heating Plant is an electric generating plant and steam heat generator for the UMass campus.
