The Scholarship Committee of the New England Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers is seeking candidates to receive awards from the A. L. Brown Scholarship Fund for the upcoming school year. The goal of this Scholarship is to encourage students to consider a career in engineering related to Fire Protection. Past individual awards have typically ranged from $1,000 to $7,000. However, recipients have been awarded as much as $10,000.
An applicant shall be able to meet the following criteria for the upcoming academic school year:
Scholarship applications are available in November and completed applications must be postmarked by February 25, 2019. The recipients will be announced at the Chapter's Annual Meeting in May 2019 and will be awarded at the October 2019 meeting after confirming academic status and eligibility criteria.

Through our new Fire Service Grant Program, fire departments in the New England region can apply for funding to support a wide array of fire prevention, preparedness and control efforts. In keeping with SFPE’s mission, the goal of this program is to advance the use of science and technology, as well as promote educational efforts.
