NEC-SFPE Golf Tournament

The New England Chapter of the SFPE will be kicking off the 2009-2010 chapter year in a big way with the first annual NEC-SFPE Golf Tournament on Friday, September 11th at the Blackstone National Golf Club in Sutton, MA!  All proceeds from this event will go to the A.L. Brown scholarship, which is awarded annually to New England students working on a bachelor or graduate degree in an engineering discipline with an interest in pursuing a career in fire protection engineering.  Over the past three years, $21,500 has been awarded in scholarships from this fund.

The tournament will be scramble (or best-ball) style.  Registration for golf is $130 per player and includes breakfast, 18 holes of golf, golf cart with GPS, and lunch.  A post-golf reception will be held to award prizes.  If you would like to just attend the reception, registration is $35, which includes lunch.  The tournament will start at 8am.  Tournament golfers will be able to use the driving range from 8am to 9am free of charge.

An auction and raffle will also be held during the tournament with prizes including a signed baseball by Red Sox outfielder Jason Bay, a foursome at the Concord Country Club, a foursome at the Blackstone National Golf Club, a 50 minute session with a PGA pro, and various golf equipment and gift certificates.
