Introduction to Hazardous Materials Limitations within Buildings

Jigsaw Life Safety will present an introduction to hazardous materials limitations within buildings. The presentation will provide an overview of the classification of hazardous materials, maximum allowable quantities, building control area strategies, and common mistakes made when designing facilities that store and use hazardous materials.

Andrew Shanahan graduated from WPI with a Masters in Fire Protection Engineering in 2004. He has over 20 years’ experience in code consulting and hazardous material compliance. Andrew is a Principal at Jigsaw Life safety and serves on the Boston Fire Department’s technical advisory committee for Laboratory Registration.

Connor Gillespie graduated from WPI with a Masters in Fire Protection Engineering in 2017. He has over 8 years of experience in fire protection design, code consulting, and hazardous materials compliance. Connor is a Project Manager at Jigsaw Life Safety and oversees the Laboratory Registration Compliance Program.
