Dave Gough, Travelers

Mr. Gough is a Senior Property Specialist for Travelers.  He is involved in fire protection loss control, principally with highly protected risks.  His responsibilities include evaluating high valued properties, training, providing fire protection consultation, witnessing system testing, and performing cost valuation and review of plans and specifications for fire protection installations.  Mr. Gough is also a representative on the Property Insurance Research Group.

The Property Insurance Research Group (PIRG) was formed in 2008 under the Fire Protection Research Foundation to provide a forum for the property insurance industry to discuss industry-relevant fire protection issues and identify related research needs that could be met through research projects conducted by the Foundation.  This presentation will review recent research funded by the PIRG including the impact of HVLS fans on sprinkler operation, lithium ion battery storage hazards, and strategies for protection of flammable liquids in combustible IBCs in operations scenarios.
